As one of Alberta's fastest growing communities, Strathcona County is a blended urban and rural municipality with unique engineering challenges. The urban area of Sherwood Park has a population of 61,000 and is the heart of Alberta's Petrochemical Refining industry. The rural area has variety of infrastructure development underway including a major regional industrial area called the Heartland. This is an engineering environment you won't find elsewhere providing an excellent opportunity to grow with the community.
The Infrastructure Engineer will prepare long range plans that define future engineering infrastructure needs and adhere with applicable engineering standards and principles and Municipal, Regional and Provincial plans. Specific responsibilities include:
