Our client a progressive organization in the Hamilton area has an immediate requirement for a Systems Engineer.  You possess three to five years experience in a Systems Engineer role and thrive in an entrepreneurial work environment. 


Responsibilities:


The Systems Engineer is responsible for all aspects of software/hardware development related to aerial image capture systems and or machine vision solutions.  You will work as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team designing and implementing advanced data collection and machine vision based solutions in a variety of end use environments.   


Requirements:


·         Analyze technical/product problems and provide performance modeling of prospective solutions.


·         Collaborate with customers and design group to help develop new systems technologies, and products for a wide variety of customer requirements.


·         Develop new innovative technologies/approaches.


·         Lead the design, development and implementation of proposed solutions.


·         Develop system configurations and work breakdown structures to meet defined product development and delivery schedules.


·         Provide technical leadership in software /hardware solutions.


·         Conduct troubleshooting and problem solving activities.


·         Design and demonstrate prototypes.


·         Develop the necessary system specification and interface documentation to support aircraft integration and test goals.


·         Familiar with the installation and integration of airborne electronic equipment.


·         Process an understanding of systems engineering principals in a formal contract environment.


·         Strong project and technical management skills.


·         Ability to coordinate activities with multiple departments such as design engineering. Manufacturing and programs. 


·         Must be eligible to meet the controller goods program requirement and be able to hold a Canadian Security Clearance.


 


Experience:


·         University Engineering undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.


·         Progressive technical and project experience over three to five years.


·         Have managed teams and subcontractors.
