27300 - Permanent - VP Business Development: Software Sales - Oil and Gas Applications
We are seeking a dynamic person to join our client's team as VP Business Development Canada. The VP Business Development will be part of an extraordinary team who will develop, implement and support innovative business and technology solutions for the Oil & Gas industry. S/He will identify and qualify opportunities while working in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment. S/He will lead marketing & sales strategies to meet sales objectives, support customer satisfaction and increase market share for solutions while developing strong, long lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
. Establishing relationships with oil & gas customers in Canada.
. Will understand challenges faced by industry and will be inspired to work in a team to develop new technologies
. Contributing to the development and delivery of solutions to the industry based on experience.
. Developing and building collaborative customer relationships for product validation.
. Accountable for overall strategic pre-sales, channel and sales strategy followed by successful tactical execution thereof. This includes establishing and managing effective sales and marketing programs, targeted sales campaigns and proactively developing competitive strategies to ensure a continual flow of opportunities through the sales funnel and maximum revenue growth for all company products and services.
. Working with Product Management, Marketing and R&D to identify and validate product features and solutions required by target industry/clients. This includes presenting and soliciting target customer feedback on advanced product features, benefits and future product directions concepts.
. Assisting in preparing the Company for significant revenue growth & scalability.

. Ability to work at both a strategic and hands-on level to effectively help grow the organization to be a noted industry leader.
. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers.
. Proven account development skills and track record in driving new product introduction.
. Highly motivated & innovative individual who can work independently while leveraging various internal and external groups necessary to achieve success for all stakeholders.
. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing selling strategies for software system solutions, ideally in large multi-vendor computing environments
. Knowledge of oil & gas magazines and specific market communication channels.
. Ability to coordinate and support sales in all Marketing related needs.
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
. Solid experience in the Canadian oil & gas industry, including knowledge of current industry trends and challenges
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of software solution sales and marketing experience, preferably dealing with new product introduction.
3 years of working in the oil & gas industry and establishing contacts with producers.
Bachelor's degree in a related technical or business discipline or equivalent.
