Acceptance Testing Technical Support Analysts (#118872)Our large client's Information Technology Branch requires the services of: 2 or more Acceptance Testing Technical Support Analysts full time on a Time and Material basis to support the daily technical acceptance testing functions of the department.
Responsibilities may include:
- consult with acceptance testers, development analysts, business clients and other areas to identify technical testing requirements and schedules
- support and maintain multiple test environments (including intranet and web testing environments), as required to facilitate the testing of maintenance and new releases for client/server business applications being tested by the Acceptance Testing Team
- develop and maintain software tools as required by the Acceptance Testing Team for use by business testers and Test Co-coordinators (i.e., specific forms and data entry editors)
- utilize and develop automated testing tools where appropriate
- conduct the planning, execution, and evaluation of technical tests as directed/requested by the Acceptance Testing Team Lead
- execute batch jobs in INTEL Windows Server and UNIX Solaris as needed by the Acceptance Testing Group
- backup and restore MS SQL databases and UNIX Sybase databases
- test and validate operational procedures, making recommendations for improvement
- provide support and maintenance of the automated testing tools utilized by the Acceptance Testing Team such as, but not limited to, SQL Agent and Autosys
assist in the ongoing development of the regression testing environment
- ensure that technical standards and procedures are maintained within the group and within programs supplied by the applications development group
- plan resource requirements and usage (i.e., test databases and scheduling) with the Acceptance Testing Team Lead
- provide on-call support for all the Acceptance Testing environments and for client/server business applications as required
- identify and document system-specific standards relating to program directories, file retention, and documentation related to the Acceptance Testing environments
- ensure that appropriate backup and recovery procedures are established and maintained for the test database environments
- consult with business representatives to resolve issues and to clarify technical requirements when necessary
