Application Developer - Financial Systems Conversi

I.  POSITION :

Hedge Fund Services IT (HFS IT) is a global team of IT professionals that are responsible for the development and support of IT applications that support the Fund Services division of Citco.

 

Citco Fund Services (CFS) have undertaken a systems migration process to adopt a bespoke enterprise business product. This involves a development group effort to develop, maintain and support migration systems, processes and interfaces to automate data migration.

 

This position is part of the global HFS Application Development team managed by the IT development manager of CFS, located in Amsterdam. Additionally to this reporting line there will be local line manager within the Toronto development centre. Responsibilities may include the following:

• Analysis and documentation of financial data structures and system processes to contribute to migration systems design


• Design, development and support of systems and processes as required to automate the migration and reconciliation of complex financial systems data


• Development in .NET and/or J2EE according to development best practices and current development technologies and methodologies


• Presentation of design and support documentation to facilitate transfer of ownership to appropriate development and business support groups


• Technical contribution to the wider HFS IT Application Development group and readiness for further HFS IT project portfolio contributions

 

II. SKILL SETS

Required:

• Application development exposure in .NET systems development


• Experience with SQL-server, Oracle, Sybase or comparable enterprise DBMS


• Application development exposure in J2EE systems development is a plus


• ETL/Data Warehousing exposure


• Financial Services systems exposure


• Experience and competency in translating complex business requirements to deliverables

III. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

• University level education in Information Technology


• 5years working experience in Information Technology is a minimum


• Financial Services technology experience is essential
