Our Winnipeg-based client is working for an Intermediate Systems Architect starting ASAP until December 17, 2010.

Project: Citrix and AIX Upgrade project
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: December 17, 2010
Location: Winnipeg


Assignment:

Part 1 - 75% of time

The SA will produce the normal System Architect deliverables from the Technology Integration (TI) Methodology most important will be the System Architecture for the Canadian Citrix Infrastructure and Operations, the Roadmap will include the Enterprise view.

Implementation Strategy will include the migration from Citrix 4 to 4.5.

Part 2 - 25% of time

The SA will produce an Architecture Decision and Recommendation document depicting alternatives to existing unsupported AIX OS and AIX Hardware. Corporate Technology (CT) will validate the document to ensure the project aligns with CT long-term strategy and best practices.

The SA will work closely with the Server Technology Domain Leader / Technology Centre Leader to review technology roadmaps and determine viable alternatives.

Skills/Knowledge:

. Working knowledge of Citrix environment (preferably Citrix design)
. Knowledgeable in System Architecture and Roadmap development/documentation
. Strong Infrastructure Architecture background - Mirroring, SAN, Virtualization, Recovery
. Extensive Technology design background across all platforms AIX, Unix, Intel to meet engineering requirements
