We are pleased to offer you this new and exciting permanent opportunity with our client in Nova Scotia for the position of:
ASP.NET DEVELOPER (INTERMEDIATE)
Location: Halifax
EXPERTISE:
-Intermediate Developer with ASP.Net with C# experience
-Must have experience with either infopath or custom control forms for forms services
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-Create classes, modules, methods, functions, constructors, ASP.NET pages, Windows and Web forms and controls using Visual Studio 2005 or 2008
-Work with end users and team leaders to refine requirements
-Write technical specifications based on functional designs
-Implement technical design specifications
-Use source control mechanisms for all project and code development
-Develop reports using SQL Reporting Services or Crystal Reports
-Create and execute unit tests on code artefacts
-Efficiently resolve bugs in units/modules and applications
-Create SQL functions, views and stored procedures
-Contribute positively to a team environment
-Work responsibly and efficiently on all tasks
-Develop and recommend alternatives within clearly defined objectives
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
-Proven intermediate-level SQL skills
-Proven intermediate-level programming skills in ASP.NET, C#.NET and/or Visual Basic.NET
-Industry experience with Microsoft's Visual Studio IDE and .NET Frameworks 1.x and 2.0 (and preferably 3.x).
-Firm understanding of the software development life cycle and industry experience in design, development and testing phases
-Firm understanding and industry experience implementing core object-oriented programming principles
-Firm understanding and industry experience implementing key concepts within the relational databases
-Experience in Microsoft Forms Services highly desirable
-Nice-to-have: PHP and MySQL skills, exposure to Unix/Linux
