We are a small manufacturer, seeking a Controller, responsible for all financial functions of the company along with financial planning and budgeting. The successful candidate will also be helping to implement a new Syspro EPR software system.
General Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting and finance operations including cash flow.
Prepare monthly and annual reports to financial institution as required.
Work with company auditor for detailed year end filings
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Prepare reconciliation's for banking and balance sheet accounts
Manage company computer system
Processing weekly payroll and all related fillings
Complete WSIB remittances
Evaluate and implement process improvements
Other duties as assigned
Desired qualifications
5 years of accounting experience
Experience with preparing financial statements
Strong PC skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Possess excellent communication skills
Be a self starter looking for a challenge
A problem solver and solution-oriented person
Be highly organized
