About the Company:
An international manufacturer of industrial manufacturing products
About the Role:
. Complete month & year-end closing that relates to manufacturing variances, cost of sales, inventory reconciliation, preparing detailed costs & posting month-end journal entries
. Support and help to manage BaaN standard cost systems for the company
. Arrange & complete inner company reconciliation
. Complete quarterly and ad hoc cost rolls
. Recognize and evaluate purchase variances, manufacturing variances, inventory adjustments as well as offer reasons for corrective actions
. Complete plant performance reports/ Complete inventory turns schedule
. Complete the monthly flexible budgets and evaluate the spending differences
. Examine margins data by company and product line (offer complete analysis on sales mixes, price multipliers, and set apart orders with unusual margin level)
. Determine the inventory reserve based on company policies
. Determine changes of materials and operations cost on a quarterly basis
. Help audit annual physical inventory counts, practices and accuracy
. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly project closings and make sure issues are solved
. Evaluate on a daily basis stock as well as purchase adjustments and examine any differences by attending daily production meetings
. Help organize for the annual audit & annual Business plan
. Support different departments when it comes to cost issues (i.e. account coding, variances, etc)
. You will be reporting to the Controller
Candidate Requirements:
. University degree (Finance/Accounting), or an accounting designation
. Extensive knowledge & understanding of accounting standards & methods
. Excellent computer skills
. 5+ years of experience in a cost accounting background (from a manufacturing company)
. Excellent communication skills
