| Job Overview | Our client, a mid-sized Oil & Gas company, is seeking to add an Intermediate to Senior Desktop Support Analyst who will be responsible for the design, deployment and support of our cleint's desktop and mobile computing environment including PC's, latops, workstations, communication systems and related software applications. The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Information Technology and 7+ years relevant desktop support experience in an oil and gas environment - O&G applications support experience is a must have. Exposure to to industry-specific applications such as Accumap, Fieldview, Petrel, and PEEP is required. In addition the ideal candidate will have solid analytical, organization and problem solving skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Primary Responsibilities Include: . Establishing and documenting global desktop standards, processes and procedures . Making recommendations on IT strategies related to the desktop computing infrastructure . Ensuring security of the desktop and mobile computing infrastructure . Configuration, setup and support of desktop hardware and software, phones and peripherals . 2nd-level support and troubleshooting of standard oil and gas applications . Managing hardware inventory and licensing . Participating in the coordination of a office relocation . Working with Help Desk and Network Operations staff as appropriate to resolve technical problems and . Working with vendors and service providers to resolve technical problems.
