Director, Business Development

Position Profile

International business card title is expected to be Business Development Director. Local Position evaluation will depend on North American Policy.

The Schneider Electric | Power Solutions for Data Centers team mission is to lead and influence the technical and commercial groups within Schneider to establish and grow our Data Center specific Solutions business. Within our team, the Business Development Director will be our primary interface with the Data Center focused commercial sales teams within Schneider Country Organizations around the world.

Working with Global, Cross-Business Country Organization Sales Teams (Power, IT, Buildings), Project Execution Centers, Services and Strategic Account Teams the Business Development Director will:
- Interface and coordinate with the relevant sales groups within each country and region
- Assist in development and execution of growth strategies and in the management of sales opportunities and the sales funnel
- Coordinate with other Power Business offer management and Business Development professionals
- Provide training and sales support for our Data Center specific Solution offers in partnership with the country sales teams
- Bridge connections between countries and regions - in particular for Global Strategic Accounts, Project Execution entities, Services, etc.
- Manage the introduction of new data center specific Solutions (in cooperation with the relevant groups) and act as the subject matter expert resource for other Power Business offers specific to Data Centers
- Feedback relevant market and end user information to the strategy and development teams within Power
This job is global in scope. You will be working with people, processes and products from around the world. As such, significant international travel will be required.

Qualifications

. An excellent understanding of the Global Data Center Market, Electrical Distribution architectures and equipment, Power and Energy - including Energy Efficiency - and of Schneider Electric
. A minimum of 10 years Solutions Selling experience with proven results
. An IT technical or engineering degree would be an asset, but must otherwise demonstrate a very strong technical aptitude for topics related to electricity, electrical equipment, metering as well as IT networks, communication and software
. An awareness of Global cultural differences and a proven ability to excel in multi-regional, cross cultural teams is a must
