Internal Auditor - Permanent - 20034
This position will perform audit assignments under the direction of the Vice President, Compliance and Internal Audit based on results of ongoing company-wide risk assessment and the reporting requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley.
About the Role
- Execute detailed audit procedures, including reviewing transactions, documents, records, reports and policies and procedures
- Assist with recommendations for corrective action/improvement
- Prepare working papers
- Assist with planning phase on assigned segments of an audit
- Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
- Assist external auditors and special projects as required
- Occasional travel required
About You
- 2-3 years audit and SOX compliance experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with numerous departments with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
Designations Required
- Our client requires a designated accountant (CGA or CMA) or near completion
