Interwork Technologies www.interwork.com is a leading North American IT distributor specializing in data security & VOIP solutions. We distribute products / solutions to resellers across North America from manufacturers such as Trend Micro, Watchguard, M86 (Marshal), and Scriptlogic, to name a few. We have an immediate opening for a Security Product Specialist to assist us in growing our security business by selecting new security vendor partners, introducing new products to our resellers, assisting our sales reps throughout the sales process and as a technical resource for our resellers. This position is located in our downtown Toronto office.
In this role you will provide exemplary pre-sales technical expertise through technical and product presentations, product demonstrations, consistent communication, and on-going technical consultation. Additionally this role is responsible for relationship development within our portfolio of security vendors. The candidate should have intimate knowledge of one or more of : DLP, SIEM, Encryption, AV, Content filtering, UTM, authentication and Managed Services (SaaS). An understanding of the benefits of SaaS and cloud computing would also be helpful.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Working with vendor partners to introduce new security products to reseller channel.
- Assisting with training and pre-sales technical support for resellers.
- Successfully implementing the launch of a suite of managed security services.
- Seeking innovative new security vendors to partner with.
- Providing technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, webinars and the installation of security products.
- Conducting partner and channel presentations & demonstrations and answering any technical questions.
Education required for this position
- University degree preferred and 2-5 years relevant industry experience required with ability to understand, and explain complex security/technical issues
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication, and customer service skills mandatory
- Pro-active, outgoing individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Industry certifications (working towards is acceptable) in specific technologies may apply for example MCP, CISSP, SSCP and SANS.
- Previous security vendor management experience is an asset.
- Solid multi-tasking and problem resolution abilities.
- Ability to effectively conduct formal and informal training sessions or presentations
- Ability to manage own time effectively.
- Quick learner with desire to learn new tools and techniques
- Account management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients and vendor partners.
