Our client, a downtown oil and gas servicing company, is looking for a Junior Payroll Analyst to join them on a contract basis.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in all payroll reporting requirements including WCB, financial journal entries, and third party reports
- Prepare and reconcile weekly remittances for all legislated deductions and employer contributions
- Prepare all payroll working papers for year-end audits and balance monthly journal entries for payroll transactions
- Prepare reports and remittances for all third party vendors, including union deductions and contributions, charitable donations and RRSPs
- Provide information to employees, supervisors, outside agencies or other personnel by referring to policies, rules, regulations or procedures or by researching files for information
- Works with payroll staff to improve work processes and create efficiencies
- Analyzes and coordinates changes to the system to comply with legislation, as well as internal and external reporting requirements
Qualifications Include:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related role
- Completion of post-secondary education
- Completion of, or working towards the CPC Certificate
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
