Payroll Coordinator - Permanent




Our client, a downtown oil and gas servicing company, is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join their Finance Group. Reporting directly to the Manager, Payroll Services, this role is responsible for processing payroll, ensuring payroll data is collected, inputted, processed, balanced and verified.


 


Responsibilities Include:



  • Manage and provide leadership to the Payroll Administrators for the administration of weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls to ensure accuracy and completion of all required tasks

  • Review and validate the accuracy of all payroll data

  • Ensure a high level of confidentiality is maintained during the payroll process

  • Liaise with HR and Payroll Manager to ensure compliance with legislative requirements

  • Provide recommendations and implement processes to improve quality and productivity


 


Qualifications Include:



  • Minimum 5 years of payroll administration experience completion or enrolment in the CPA designation program an asset

  • Knowledge of payroll concepts, legislation, regulations, accounting, calculations and terminology

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong customer service focus

  • Flexibility in work hours in order to meet timelines
