Post-launch Support Specialist

Summary:

Post-launch Support Specialist is responsible for managing in-market mobile devices issues with OEMs/3rd parties and for coordination of mobile device/network investigations with Bell's internal teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

. Reporting to Wireless Technology Products - Post-launch Support Manager.
. Manages mobile devices issues list and work with OEMs/Bell internal stakeholders toward issues resolution/final withdrawal by end of mobile devices support lifecycle. Debug/troubleshoot in-market mobile device issues and engage SMEs when necessary.

. Manages need, content and schedule of maintenance release for mobile devices.

. Provides regular progress reports in form of Action Register to Bell stakeholders.
. Evaluates mobile devices maintenance release software builds, manages availability of release notes and provides technical acceptances.

. Participates in mobile devices pre-launch final issues review meetings, provides field feedback on OEM's in-market mobile devices issues and recommends preventative measures to be taken into account on up-coming mobile devices. 

. Educates/Assists Product Managers and Customer Support primes on technical aspects of mobile devices capabilities/limitations on a per need basis.

Minimum Requirements

. B. Sc in Telecommunication/Data Networks or Computer System Engineering

. Certificates in SCJP for Mobile Applications, MCTS for Windows

  Mobile, PMI, S60 and CCNP/CCIP.

. 5 years hands-on network engineering experience with carrier/vendor on wireless/data/services technologies (GPRS, UMTS, HSPA IP, ATM, MPLS SOA).

. 3 years mobile devices support experience with carrier/OEM/3rd party Apps developer.

. 3 year hands-on experience on JAVA ME and various JAVA Virtual Machines

. 3 years hands-on experience on Mobile OS (S60, Windows Mobile, Symbian, Android, webOS, RIM OS, MAC, others).
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in technical environment.

. Valid drivers licence (G or equivalent).
