Project Accountant - Winnipeg

Job ID: 1671 Position Description: The duties of this position include all accounting duties for various multi-million dollar construction projects and may also include various general district accounting duties. Scope of Duties: o monitor adherence of project accounting to contractual terms o identify and communicate budget variances and areas of financial risk o process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions o perform various general ledger reconciliations o manage collection of project accounts receivable o obtain required contract and insurance documentation o perform various general district accounting duties Position Requirements: General Behavioural Requirements: o able to work independently and perform at a high level of accuracy o highly committed to meet all deadlines and goals o flexible to adapt to evolving scope of duties o effectively prioritize multi-tasks o communicate effectively with diplomacy and tact o embrace, manage and promote change o desire for ongoing learning Educational Requirements: o Formal accounting training with a Business Administration or Business Accountancy Certificate is required.
