About our Client: Tier 1 Bank- Capital Markets Operations


 


Our client is a leader in the Canadian Banking Industry and is currently seeking an accomplished Derivatives Guru to step into a Senior Analyst or Managerial position within their Middle office.


 


 


Job Title: Senior Analyst/Manager, Derivatives Operations


 


The Senior Analyst will play a critical role with the Middle Office's operational team, and will ideally be successor to the current Derivative Operations head.  This position would be ideal to the super ambitious type looking to make a mark and move up the corporate ladder quickly!  If this sounds like you- PLEASE APPLY for a fresh start in a growing organization!


 


Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):



  • Assist in the automation of processes that inhibit the derivatives reporting cycle to ensure accurate, timely and complete information for financial and regulatory information

  • Review and consolidate analyses to explain monthly and quarterly P & L fluctuations

  • Complete non-routine analysis of financial statements to find any inaccurate data and to mitigate risk

  • Assist in the implementation of a new reporting system document any inefficiencies and provide valuable feedback to make recommendations throughout the implementation

  • Participate and take the lead in various ad hoc projects as necessary


Requirements:



  • 3-5 years of experience within Operations in Capital Markets

  • In-depth understanding Capital Market Products and Financial Instruments

  • Strong aptitude for reporting and analytical software, knowledge of Capital Market trading systems would be an asset

  • Enrolment in CFA and/or another professional designation, and close to completion


 


Compensation Package: $80K (+ bonus and benefits) and upwards, depending on commensurate leadership experience and what you can bring to the table!
