Senior Director, Investment Finance # 884127   Job Description   We are currently working with one of the world's leading Financial Services companies who are in the process of launching a new investment division in Canada. As Senior Manager, you will be the key Finance Lead for all phases of this exciting project including planning, launch and ongoing development. Providing critical support to the Business Unit Head, you will establish the framework for financial control, financial planning and capital management, management reporting and budgeting and full divisional accounting services (monthly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements). When providing detailed financial analysis on the business, you will be expected to make incisive commentary on key variances together with recommended corrective actions where necessary. Working in conjunction with overseas and Canadian Finance staff you will also monitor the impact of various intercompany transactions including recoveries and recharges. You will lead the implementation of new systems and processes in support of the anticipated rapid business expansion. Other responsibilities will be to manage the preparation of annual income tax returns and monthly provincial tax returns, WHT and GST returns.   Qualifications   You will be a team player with a can do attitude who is willing and capable of making a huge impact in a challenging and competitive business. Ideally you will have 5-10 years experience in the Canadian Financial Services industry, preferably in investment products. You will be a CA (or other accounting designation) with proven experience ideally gained in the accounting function of a Global financial services organization. Strong Canadian GAAP, IFRS and knowledge of tax and compliance matters will all be critical skills to appear on your resume.
