Job Title: Senior Income Tax Analyst

Reporting To: Manager, Taxation
The Senior Income Tax Analyst will assist in all areas of Canadian taxation including income tax compliance and audits withholding tax quarterly and year-end tax provisions and tax planning projects.
Position Responsibilities:
- Working across all corporate divisions and all functions of tax, including planning and compliance.
- Prepare working papers and support calculations for tax return files
- Assist with Federal and Provincial government tax audits
- Tax research and tax planning
- Prepare Canadian quarterly tax provision, tax reporting, and audit working papers
- Detailed analysis of fixed assets related sections
- Preparation of monthly tax adjusting journal entries and review of statements from tax authorities, and monthly tax account reconciliations
- Assistance with quarterly tax provision estimates and annual budget estimates
- Reconciliation tax accounts in GL (income and capital tax)
- Research tax implications on any operational activities
- Liaise with the CRA and other tax authorities on assessments, audits, and enquiries
- Provide assistance on special projects
Position Requirements (Experience, Technical Expertise):
- At least four years of Canadian corporate income tax preparation and planning experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience with tax/ taxprep
- Sound knowledge of federal and provincial taxation
- Experience with other types of taxes, such as and sales/use tax
- A working knowledge of SAP preferred
- Sound knowledge of Schedule. 008 / tax fixed assets also would be beneficial.
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Experienced with tax research and planning tools
- Background in manufacturing environment preferred
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
- Minimal travel may be require
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting. CA is preferred.
- Completed Part I of the In-Depth Tax Course or Master of Tax
