The National Bank is currently looking for a Senior Manager for its sector. The mission of this activity sector is to define a global technology vision for the Bank and its subsidiaries and provide ongoing development in order to ensure the comptability of project architectures and qualify financial investments.
Nature of the contribution:
Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Delivery Management - Personal and Commercial Banking and Operations, you will mobilize and support your team in meeting its objectives through strong and dynamic management skills in order to ensure the effectiveness and profitability of your sector. You will act as a leader in your area of expertise and contribute in the strategic orientations of the Bank. You will participate actively in the attainment of the bank's strategic objectives, specifically in those related to your area of expertise. In addition, you will manage the financial, material, technical and human resources of the sector, as well as the optimal functioning of your sector of activity.
Key Responsibilities:
As Senior Manager, you will ensure the sound management of a team of specialized professionals by creating a mobilizing climate as a reflection of your proven leadership qualities. You will act as an expert in your field and formulate recommendations that will allow the bank to meet its objectives specifically related to the management of the EtoE program. You will supply management with all the necessary information to meet the strategic objectives. You will influence and support the bank's attainment of its strategic objectives and put in place management and operational strategies as well solutions to optimize the quality of services and operations.
In addition, you will maximize personnel contribution by establishing performance objectives related to the business plan and encourage innovative behaviour. You will anticipate the human resources development needs based on the bank's organizational changes and strategic orientations and ensure their evolution through personalized coaching. You will convey the bank's influence by acting as an expert and participating in various external committees and activities, as well as act as a representative with various organizations and stakeholders.
More specifically:
- Ensure the delivery of a significant portfolio of strategic initiatives within the scope of the EtoE program
- Ensure customer relationship management
- Participate in the global coordination of the EtoE program as the person responsible for the delivery of a number of the initiatives
- Ensure the management of the scope and inter-relationships between the projects in the program and the other ongoing initiatives of the bank
- Assemble, evaluate the teams and deliver the projects/initiatives according to the budgets, deadlines and business plans in compliance with the EtoE program expectations and the bank's internal standards.
- Respect and follow the budgets of the initiatives under your responsibility
- Human resources management
- Manage the internal and external suppliers (centres of expertise, third party integrators and various other groups called to intervene in the delivery of the initiatives)
- Coordination of the Enterprise Architecture, Project Management Office, Centres of Expertise, Operations, Organizational Performance, etc. groups
- Ability to work in a matrix environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree related to the sector of activity and 10 years of pertinent experience or a Masters degree related to the sector of activity and 8 years of pertinent experience.
- Experience in the management of a technological support team in the field of banking services
- Experience in the delivery of large-scale projects
- Experience in the management of technological risks
- Experience in the optimization of information technology costs
- Experience in the design of application systems - system improvement as asset
- Experience in personnel management
- Knowledge of technological architecture, application development and application integration
- Ability to negotiate with various stakeholders
- Excellent inter-relationship abilities
- Ease in intervening in a context of matrix mode resources assignment
- Bilingualism (spoken and written) French and English.
