Our downtown client is looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst to provide support to their in-house payroll processes.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and reconcile weekly remittances for all legislated deductions and employer contributions
- Prepare all payroll working papers for year-end audits and balance monthly journal entries for payroll transactions
- Prepare reports and remittances for all third party vendors including union deductions and contributions, social deductions, charitable donations and RRSPs
- Provide information to employees, supervisors, and other personnel by referring to policies, rules, regulations or procedures
- Train payroll staff on new policies and procedures work with payroll staff to improve work processes and create efficiencies
- Analyze and coordinate changes to the system to comply with legislation, as well as internal and external reporting requirements
Qualifications Include:
- Minimum 6 years of payroll experience
- Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited post-secondary institution completion of CPC Certificate
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
