Randstad's specialized accounting and finance consultants have many positions for you to choose from. This position could be a great fit for you: On a typical day, you will. - Input and processed monthly subcontractor's progress claim, holdback and schedule payment in the system - Posted vendor invoices and processed the payment - Reviewed all vendor and sub contractor invoices and back up before releasing the payment - Reconcile outstanding vendor invoices - Managed the collection of project accounts receivable - Prepare and poste journal entries and adjusting entries - Various reporting as requested What's in it for you? - Competitive hourly pay of $20 - $25/hour - Great, stable work environment - Great experience in a general accountant role - Friendly, professional, and challenging workplace - Opportunity to take ownership of your role and work in a self-directed environment What is required? - Enrolment in a recognized accounting designation program such as CMA or CGA is preferred. - Minimum of 3 years general accounting experience a must. - Previous accounting experience with an engineering or similar professional services firm would be preferred. - Above average proficiency with Excel and an overall comfort with using computers and learning new software. - Ability to maintain excellent working relationship with staff and clients and the ability to demonstrate proven success working in a team environment are very important. - Excellent communication skills, an analytical mind, great organization skills and a solid work ethic.
