Job Description


The Graham Group Ltd., one of Canada's leading general contractors and 50 Best Managed Companies has a career opportunity for an Accounting Clerk/Timekeeper  to work in our Toronto office.   


Payroll


·         Processes hire-on and terminations


·         Maintains accurate and up-to date site files.


·         Ensures payroll entry screens are set-up specific to the requirements of the project.


·         Enters payroll, subsistence and travel information.


·         Completes payroll reporting requirements to Operations.


·         Understands union specific payroll requirements.


Purchasing


·         Solicits approval on PO's, entering purchasing information, follows up with


vendors matching PO's with invoices and copies PO's as required.


·         Understands and applies provincial tax requirements.


Production


·         Ensures data of production quantities is collected and entered


Equipment


·         Adjusts coding of equipment costs as requested.


Cost Reimbursable Invoicing


·         Assists in sorting and compiling backup for billings.


Additional responsibilities


·         Collects and maintains data to create extra work records.


·         Monitors and logs approval status of extra work.


·         Other administrative tasks as required.


 


Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications


 


Education: High school completion required


Experience: Experience in accounting, payroll, office administration or construction is required.


Desired Skills:



  • Basic understanding of accounting principles

  • Accuracy, attention to detail.

  • Good communications skills (written and verbal)

  • Able to work effectively independently and as a team member.

  • Computer literate in a Windows environment.

  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
