Accounting - Federal Government (#3367) Duties § Process financial accounting expenditure and commitment transactions utilizing the FreeBalance Financials (version 6.2) Accounting System, including staff and non-staff travel claims and journal vouchers, to ensure accuracy and compliance with CIHR financial policies and procedures § Conduct account verification procedures for expenditures including invoices, contracts and travel claims to ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures § Reconcile internal suspense accounts related to Accounts Payable and travel to ensure integrity of transaction recording throughout the system and prepare and process journal vouchers to clear outstanding balances § Prepare internal spreadsheets using MS Excel and Ms Word as required. § Respond to requests for information from suppliers, staff and other clients using internal records, the STSI website including the On-Line Booking Tool and the PWGSC Standard Payment System § Follow up on outstanding Travel Advances with staff as required. § Performs other financial duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Accounting Operations Qualifications Bilingual Secret TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION PLEASE SEND AN UPDATED RESUME TO: govtjobs@randstad.ca Martyn and Lesley Good to Know You!
