Our entertainment client is currently looking for a Distribution
Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their finance team. Our

Responsibilities:

• Applying
  daily cash received to customer accounts accordingly


• Timely
  collection calls on all past due accounts


• Issue
  credits for billing errors, short shipments and defective product


• Recording
  of monthly revenue sharing statements, price protection campaigns and
  advertising credits


• Resolving
  discrepancies with customers and sending back-up as requested


• Responsible
  for the closing of the A/R sub ledger in accordance with the month end
  schedule             


• Reconciling
  the video A/R sub ledger to the G/L on a monthly basis


• Distribution
  of the video A/R aging report to the operations management team on a
  weekly basis


• Periodic
  analysis of the video aging report and recommending to operations/finance
  any accounts that should be placed on hold or accounted for in the bad
  debt reserve


• Liaise
  with billing department and operations to ensure accurate billings and to
  resolve any customer issues with invoicing


• Conducting
  credit verifications as required for new and existing accounts


• Ensure
  company policies are administered, communicated and maintained with
  customers


• Performing
  other ad hoc A/R reporting and projects as part of the month end close

Qualifications:                                                                                                                  

• Degree
  or diploma in Accounting, working towards CMA or CGA


• Minimum
  3 years of relevant experience


• Experience
  with Great Plains Software


• Proficient
  in MS office products including Excel and Word


• Excellent
  organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and manage
  responsibilities


• Strong
  verbal and written communication skills


• Ability
  to maintain and support client relationships


• Team
  Player with excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills


• Strong
  analytical ability with excellent attention to detail
