The part-time Bookkeeper/Training Services Clerk provides assistance in maintaining the accounting records under the supervision of the Program Coordinator Lead and includes, but is not limited to, the following functions:
Duties:
- Enter data of cash/credit receipts, prepare bank deposits, print and mail invoices and receipts
- Enter data of payable invoices and expense claims of Instructors and staff, print and mail cheques, file invoices/expense claims upon payment, settle discrepancies with suppliers/vendors
- Book and arrange for payment of accommodations, meals and clothing/uniform needs for students as required
- Book and arrange for payment travel as approved by clients, including air fares, car rentals or other local transportation
- Create client invoices for service charges/administration charges
- Provide full coverage for the Office Assistant position, where required
- Where required, accounting duties may also include calculating and preparing cheques for internal payroll, completing and submitting tax forms, WCB forms, and other government documents, as well as reconciling bank account.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping. Formal training (first year of post secondary accounting)or equivalent experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook
- Proficiency in oral and written communications
Assets
- QuickBooks Accounting Software experience
- Experience working with a Learning Management System
- Previous work experience in a training or educational environment
Salary $22.86 per hour to start.
