Business Development Analyst

The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, an entrepreneurial approach and apply his/her can-do attitude to a wide range of challenging opportunities. Under the direction of the Vice President, Corporate Development and working with the Corporate Senior Management team, the Business Development Analyst will assist and support in identifying opportunities for strategic growth and new business ventures.


This intensive program includes coaching and mentoring by senior corporate and divisional leaders, including the CEO.  After completion of the approximately 12-month program, Analysts will be recruited by corporate or divisional operations around the globe, with a wide variety of career paths available based upon business requirements and personal interests.  Geographic mobility is a must. Successful Analysts will be regarded as succession planning candidates for senior management roles.


 


Accountabilities:


 


-          Assist with the provision of corporate development services including valuations and due diligence.


-          Prepare and maintain competitor and potential acquisition target profiles.


-          Provide analysis and evaluation of strategic concepts and opportunities.


-          Prepare / edit sophisticated corporate presentations for internal and external audiences.


-          Assist in the preparation and maintenance of corporate programs.


-          Assist in the preparation of divisional strategic and business plan templates and schedules.


 


Qualifications:


 


-          MBA, undergraduate degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or similar preferred)


-          3-5 years of experience preferably in manufacturing.


-          Energetic, analytical personality with sound organizational and reporting skills.


-          Solid writing and documentation skills


-          Highly organized and able to manage multiple concurrent complex business initiatives


-          Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.


-          Attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency.


-          Geographic mobility, willingness to accept international travel and assignment on short notice.
