Description

  • Research and process voluntary and mandatory corporate action transactions in a timely and accurate manner.


  • Communicate on a timely basis on any issues with Advisors or other stakeholders due to the time sensitive nature of these activities and keep inventory of outstanding or pending actions and manage to the corporate action deadline.


  • Analyze each corporate action event to determine processing procedures and tender deadlines.


  • Review corporate action data received from multiple sources raise any questions and investigate when data may be incomplete.


  • Process and reconcile dividend and interest payments.


  • Identify areas of opportunity through analysis and develop recommendations for improvement.


  • Assist with DRIP processing as needed.








Qualifications





  • 3 years of work experience in a securities operations environment is highly preferred


  • Canadian Securities Course an asset


  • Excellent knowledge and current understanding of securities instruments


  • Excellent understanding of all types of corporate actions


  • Well versed in settlements, foreign exchange and markets with a solid understanding of CDS and DTC operations


  • Bloomberg experience


  • Knowledge of Dataphile technology is an asset


  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
