Reporting to a Senior Financial Analyst, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities for a one year period:
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the accounting and reporting for the division as well as providing financial and operational analysis for management decision making.
- Prepare and enter all journal entries relating to areas of responsibility.
- Analyse all accounts under areas of responsibility to ensure they are accurate and reasonable. Investigate and correct all errors.
- Prepare accurate reports with concise comments and value-added analysis of all significant variances and answer all questions from senior management.
- Prepare quarterly / yearly annual statements
Special projects:
- Assist Senior Financial Analyst with any special projects that are initiated by Senior Management.
- Constantly evaluate and improve on internal processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency is maintained
Requirements:
· Post secondary degree/diploma or equivalent
· Intermediate to Advanced level Excel skills
· Proficient in using accounting software packages
· Proven ability to multitask
· Proven analytical skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Detail-oriented
· Self-starter with willingness to learn
· Maintains ownership of responsibilities
· Needs to be able to work well both independently and as part of a team
