Senior Fund Accountant - 2 years Fund Experience required

Responsibilities:
Value funds, on a daily basis, including preparing the preliminary and final valuation packages. This will include the following:
· Process and settle trades transactions.
· Record capital stock transaction in MPower and balance the units Outstanding between
· Prepare cash projections/cash positions to fund mangers
· Prepare bank reconciliation and resolve any reconciling items
· Review trades fills entered report
· Prepare working paper file and/or audit file on a scheduled basis
· Assist the supervisor in reviewing the preliminary and final net asset packages prepared by fund accountants
· Help fund accountant in resolving reconciling items with the custodian
· Assist the supervisor in reviewing the audit file schedules and ensure they are balanced to the general ledger.
· Fill in for absent fund accountant by helping to value their funds.
· Fill in for absent supervisor by helping to perform daily tasks.
· Respond to client inquiries on a timely basis
· Respond to fund accountants' inquiries
Qualifications:
· 2 years Mutal Fund accounting experience
· Undergrad/College, preferably in an Accounting or Finance
· Must be knowledgeable of the Mpower Accounting
· Experience with multi-series, multi-managers fund and fund on funds
· Experience with derivative instruments, such as futures and options prove an asset
· Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· Attention to detail is a requirement
· Good communication, interpersonal and client relationship skills
· Work well in a team as well as independently
