Description



Canadian Controllers is looking for a professional, self-motivated finance Manager to join their dynamic team reporting to the Director, Financial Reporting. As a key liaison between the Canadian business units and Corporate Controllers, the Manager will be responsible for the coordination of the annual business plan, and financial forecasts. In addition, the Manager will assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and business projects as required.



Key Accountabilities:




  • Actively lead the division's annual planning and periodic forecasting cycles developing and communicating timetables, processes and requirements for the division and its business units


  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional and cross-departmental teams to meet deadlines


  • Identify issues as they arise and liaise with Business Units and Corporate Division to ensure appropriate resolution


  • Consolidate and analyze, in conjunction with the business unit finance teams, Plan and Forecast results


  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness and quality of analysis and commentary


  • Provide support and analysis for legal entity reporting


  • Assess, recommend and implement process improvements to enhance infrastructure and the quality of deliverables


  • Assist in providing support to adhoc projects.




Canadian Division Controllers is responsible for providing strategic support to divisional senior management, and oversight and leadership to the finance areas across the division. Canadian Controllers co-ordinates the division's financial planning & reporting processes ensures a robust accounting and control environment across the division and partners with the businesses on key transactions and initiatives. The department is structured into four main areas of focus: planning and reporting expense management and analysis financial systems and controls and projects.









Qualifications





  • Professional designation (CA, CMA, CGA, MBA)


  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the division and to negotiate nad influence effectively


  • Excellent analytical and problem solving and project management skills


  • Well organized, innovative thinker able to manage several tasks with a high level of accuracy with the ability to be manage changing deliverables


  • Results oriented, with the ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


  • Excellent PC skills particularly with MS Office applications


  • Knowledge of Hyperion/Essbase, Lawson and WebFocus, is preferred.
