Royalty Analyst - Insitu

MAIN ROLE Located in downtown Calgary, this position is required to support the Manager of Royalty Compliance in support of Suncor's Insitu Royalties. Our Oil Sands royalty compliance team requires significant understanding of the royalty statute and contracts as well as an understanding of our Oil Sands and Insitu operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES . Manage the Insitu Royalty audits conducted by Alberta Department of Energy (ADOE) . Analyze and prepare the monthly Insitu Royalty accruals . Prepare the Alberta Department of Energy monthly Royalty installments and facilitate payment . Prepare Royalty inputs for internal planning cycles (Budget, Forecasts, Business Plan) . Prepare inputs for the annual ADOE Operator's Forecast . Prepare ADOE End of Period filings . Royalty compliance for other minerals . Complete ad-hoc projects and analysis as directed QUALIFICATIONS . Accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience . Oil Sands or Insitu experience would be beneficial . Royalty experience would be considered an asset . Experience with SAP would be considered an asset . Must possess strong analytical skills . Highly self-motivated and able to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines with minimal supervision . Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel .
