Senior Accountant

This is a unique opportunity to join a leader in its industry that offers excellent growth and advancement. Based in downtown Toronto, the Senior Accountant will oversee a small accounting team and be responsible for the consolidation, reconciliation and preparation of financial statements as well as the preparation of internal and external reports to support the growth mandate of the organization. Ideally you have worked in the professional services industry like a small to medium sized law firm, consulting practice or an entrepreneurial private company.



Reporting to the Director of Finance, specific responsibilities will include:

Accounting

• Ensures the accounts receivable and payable functions process all payments in a timely and accurate fashion.


• Works on overdue accounts to resolve payment issues and with Sales to ensure contract are consistent with policies and billed in a timely manner.


• Month-end and year end journal entries


• Bank reconciliation

 

Financial Reporting
