Senior Director, Software Engineering



We are looking for a Senior Director of Software Engineering for a development team. The Senior Director of Software Engineering role provides leadership for all development activities at our client's location.



Imagine Yourself:

• Leading an outstanding software team, which both provides sustaining engineering of our core products, and is a key partner in delivering new and innovative software and services. 


• Driving continuous improvement of an effective, Agile software engineering group to facilitate quality, customer experience, schedule, and cost improvements. 


• Enabling teams to do their best work by establishing and monitoring best practices, setting expectations, and removing obstacles to performance.  


• Communicating regularly with a distributed organization, and traveling regularly to corporate headquarters in the US. 


• Directing investment in strategic initiatives, including product initiatives, product improvements, technology enhancements, and process upgrades. 

Requirements: 

 

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple functions within a software development organization.  


• Excellent interpersonal skills and cross-organizational/cross-functional influencing skills. 


• A solid history of success in building high-performance software engineering organizations that produce robust and reliable product releases. 


• Experience with Agile development


• Proven ability to initiate and manage the delivery of multiple products, across multiple departments, on time and within budget. 


• Experience with both Microsoft and cross-platform development technologies. 


• A minimum of 8 - 10 years of technical experience within a software engineering organization, including 5 years of software engineering management experience.
