Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Monitor the network load using standard traffic & blocking reports and issue work orders on time to ensure adequate network capacity while avoiding capital overspent (HSPA, EVDO, 1X).
- Perform regular in-depth analyzes of the network capacity for his territories, provide recommendation for network changes and implement solutions (HSPA, EVDO, 1X).
- Assist the national capacity planning advisor for in-depth analyzes of the new HSPA network for a complete understanding of resource utilization.
- Assist the national capacity planning advisor for specific analysis of the network capacity following on demand requests from the management.
- Determine next year's budget with respect to wireless network capacity to support the traffic growth.
- From a capacity planning perspective, manage all special events occurring within the assigned territories to ensure adequate provisioning.
- Perform network configuration audits using system tools and reports to identify and address any inconsistencies related to capacity and resource utilization
- Work closely with other capacity planners, RF Engineering teams and network equipment vendors as needed to document and improve the RF capacity planning processes
- Prepare necessary documentation and presentations to support the network planning decisions and recommendations
Required competencies/essential skills:
- Bachelor degree in electrical engineering with telecommunications background
- Minimum 5 years experience in wireless telecommunications
- Solid knowledge of the CDMA, HSPA/GSM technologies
§ Familiar with the usual office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Access
- Strong mathematics/statistics skills
- Capacity to make decisions and assume responsibility over projects
- Proven interpersonal and leadership skills with a passion for results
- Self-sufficient and strong ability to adapt to changes
- Ability to motivate others and promote team spirit and employee value
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
