Billing and Reconciliation Analyst (Pension and Be




The United Church of Canada is seeking two individuals to work on a full time 6 month term basis as Billing and Reconciliation Analysts (Pension and Benefits).  These positions are located in the General Council Office of The United Church of Canada, in the Sun Life Tower at the corner of Bloor and Islington. 



The successful candidates will support the Group Benefits Analyst in reconciling 1800 client accounts.  This project will require the incumbents to:

- Analyse the total premiums which were assessed to each client based on an electronic data feed.

- Calculate the total premiums which should have been assessed to each client based on rates and coverage information.  

- Identify what data corrections are required (based on the invoicing errors) and ensure the third party administrator makes the appropriate corrections.

- Determine the total premiums which were remitted, and calculate if there is an outstanding balance or credit owing.



Qualifications:

University degree or college diploma in a related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience

At least 3 years billing/accounting experience, preferably in a pension and benefits department

Expertise with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel

Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to liaise with internal team members, external stakeholders and external service providers

Professionalism, with the ability to act with discretion and confidentiality. 



Remuneration for these positions is at an hourly rate in the range of $24.00 to $28.00, plus 6% vacation pay.
