Position Summary:
·         Manage day to day financial functions of the Edmonton Brewery in both brewery operations  to ensure that management has  timely and accurate financial information and advice
·         Establish & maintain financial standards, budget and control
·         Is responsible for completion of all month end financial reporting related to the brewery and its operations
·         Assist Operations and Finance in costing and other financial analysis & studies such as capital investment
·         Is a member of the Edmonton Plant Management Team
·         Align the Edmonton Brewery financials to National standards for costs , GL & financial reporting consistency
·         Reports  financial results on operational  Brewery performance  (variance to plan, analysis of variances etc)
·         Support budget activities to establish and maintain financial accounts for  the Edmonton Brewery
·         Provide financial control to the Edmonton Brewery operations and logistics by monitoring , analyzing and trouble shooting  costs
·         Assist in capital planning & investment programs
·         Maintain and review financial and internal controls for operations, complete Capital Spend audits
·         Ensure adequate safeguarding of brewery assets
Day to Day Accountabilities:
·         Delivery Service Level Agreement with Brewery Management
·         Operate ATR processes to be compliant with MICS and the required internal
control processes
·         Ensure accuracy of brewery B/S and P&L
·         Support the management of  the budgets for the Brewery within each fiscal year
·         Ensure excise duty is paid accurately and on time
·         Retain adequate financial records to support audit inquiries and respond to such
inquiries, including audits such as internal audit, external audit, MICs audit, various government audits.
·         Provide on-going technical accounting and finance support to
Qualifications:
Education:
·         University Degree
·         Accounting Designation or equivalent experience (an asset)
Experience:
·         2 - 3 years relevant business experience
Technical Competencies:
·         Knowledge of Accounting Policies - GAAP / IFRS
·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·         Proficient in Excel
·         Knowledge of oracle financial system
·         Knowledge of Management Accounting and Variance Analysis
