Officer, International Operations Integration

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Officer to assume responsibility for the management and day-to-day operational control of the International/USA Mail Operations network to ensure that corporate policies, procedures and systems are properly implemented and maintained. Accountable to Head Office and reporting to the Manager, Operations Network Systems, you will act as the local focal point for International/USA Operations within the operations community, providing feedback to Divisional Plant Management on performance enhancements and improvements.


 


The successful candidate will:



  • Monitor, identify, resolve and report network variances and anomalies that could result in service delays or have other day-to-day operational impacts

  • Within the geographical areas assigned, manage and control the network of International/USA Mail Operations and act as the focal point within the operations (line) community

  • Implement and maintain corporate policies and systems to ensure operational control and adherence to operating standards and guidelines for daily operating plan purposes

  • Identify and recommend changes to existing policies, procedures, systems and operational initiatives in order to enhance line operations and improve service and cost performance for International/USA mail

  • Implement contingency plans in the event of a service disruption or anomaly

  • Respond to and resolve day-to-day enquiries from local functional and line operations regarding International/USA operations including communication with CPC business partners

  • Implement and maintain developed information reporting systems to ensure the effective and efficient exchange and recording of data and information

  • Ensure the operating procedures for International/USA mail operations at the local level are well documented, current and meet service and cost performance indicators

  • Participate fully in the development of the section's business plans

  • Implement new international products and services


 


Qualifications include:



  • University degree or college diploma combined with at least three years' relevant experience, or a minimum of five years' relevant work experience

  • Minimum of three years' experience working in an environment requiring strong analytical abilities combined with superior computer skills where you were accountable for: importing/merging large data files (Dbase/Excel), creating queries and reports (Excel Pivot tables), and summarizing information providing volume/cost/trend analyses in support of strategic business decisions working with regulatory and process control documentation, interpreting context and key requirements, and providing and documenting recommendations, instructions and procedures

  • Direct work experience in either a plant production environment or International operations would be an asset
