PROJECT MANAGER – Voice Radio Communication System

Our client requires the services of a Project Manger.  This position reports to the Project Lead & the client’s internal Steering Committee.   The Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining the Project plan/charter, coordinating Project activities, developing procurement documents, preparing reports on the Project to the Project Lead & Steering Committee, and tracking Project issues, budget and risks.   The Project Manager will be accountable for ensuring completion of all phases of the Project.


The scope of the project involves the replacement of a Voice Radio Communication System that has reached the end of it’s useful life.  The Project entails a complete replacement of all  current radio communications infrastructure, as well as some subscriber terminals. 


This is a contract role with an initial term of 36 months.  Some likelihood of extension beyond t he initial term. 


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:



·          PMP designation from Project Management Institute.


·         Proficient at building project schedules and proficient with MS Project tools.


·         Excellent organizational skills  - demonstrated by the ability to manage resources to meet project targets.


·         Excellent problem solving skills.


·         Broad knowledge & experience in the implementation of large scale, high dollar, technically complex projects.


·         Experience in  two-way radio, telecommunications, or wireless environments.


·         Superior communication skills, both oral and written.


·         Able to effectively deal with all levels  of management,  development teams, technical support teams, and users. 


·         Expertise in report writing and delivering management / executive presentations.


·         Preferrably 10 years + of Project Management experience.
