Job Title: Head of Derivative Operations- Change Leader- Newly Created Position for 2010
The Head of Derivative Operations will be responsible for leading a large team of Analysts through the day-to-day Securities Operations. As well, the incumbent will work with Senior Management to map the future direction of this growing line of business. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead projects to implement new policies or initiatives as they relate to Capital Markets, including building guidelines /procedures, liaising with internal and/or external parties to get a better understanding of requirements and have the ability to define parameters
- Routine reconciliation and daily operations activities specific to Derivative Securities
- Develop and maintain relationships to leverage to then assist in the implementation of policies and to constantly improve processes
- Identify issues before they escalate and work with your contacts to mitigate the risk of any potential issues evolving in the future
- Provide leadership to a team of ten professionals while reviewing their work and providing guidance and motivation
- Sound knowledge of the processes within the front to the back office to identify any issues and take action to mitigate risk
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years experience leading teams within Operations, ideally for Capital Markets
- Experience leading Capital Markets Projects/ Infrastructure upgrades
- Proven track record for change leadership
- MBA and/or professional designation- CFA Charter holders preferred
- A Passion for Leadership and Driving Change!
