The Municipality of Red Lake is a friendly, family oriented community a great place to live. great people.. golden opportunities ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT Project Cost Accountant Reporting to the Administration Manager the Project Cost Accountant will work closely with the Red Lake Gold Mines Project Team to produce timely financial information for several ongoing key projects. An important function of this position is the coordination with other areas of finance, the project team, and other functional groups to ensure their information needs are met. Primary responsibilities include: - Oversee the daily, weekly and monthly financial activities that are required to produce timely cost reports. - Assist with the collection and analysis of budgets, costs and assets - Partner with other areas of finance and other functions to ensure appropriate reporting is provided for the projects - Work with the Projects Team to identify and forecast financial exposures - Ensure that proper controls are in place and are being followed The qualifications of the ideal candidate are: - Degree in a related discipline - Professional Accounting designation preferred - 8-10 years accounting experience preferably in an industrial setting - Analytical and detail oriented - Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. - Computer literate, with working knowledge of Excel, Word and SAP an asset.
